Cladding Options
Almost any type of cladding used in wood frame construction can also be applied to steel framing, often with some adjustments. There are numerous cladding choices available when building with light gauge steel, including:
Sheeting
Linear board (nutec/fibrecement)
Tiled roofing
Brick veneer
Lightweight and aerated concrete, among many other options
In essence, the cladding materials commonly used in traditional wood frame buildings can be seamlessly integrated with steel framing. Additionally, many conventional cladding methods can be easily adapted to work with light gauge steel structures.
